A global community of Mabaan learners and leaders.

We are Mabaan, an Indigenous tribe living in South Sudan and around the world.

About Us

Supporting our youth. Sharing our stories. Celebrating our culture.

Pwatcin ne tolan, thank you, for taking the time to meet the Mabaan. We are an Indigenous tribe that lives primarily in Maban County, a northeastern part of modern day South Sudan.

Mabaan live in countries around the world; many of us arrived as refugees, displaced by the civil wars in Sudan. Mabaan are resilient. Our knowledge and stories have brought us through good times and times of war, climate change, and colonization. We invite you to join our global community and learn more about what it means to be Mabaan.
